17K Sunny Cold Run Through Zehlendorf with Gisi
Looking out the window before our run today, it looked deceptively like a warm, spring day, while the -2°C on the thermometer indicated otherwise. Wanting to maximize warmth, we took off at 11:30 for a cold but sunny 17K run up through Zehlendorf to the Clay Allee / Königin-Luise-Str. corner, and then back home through Dahlem. We learned early that today was not a day to run through park paths, which were almost uniformly covered with a layer of ice. We also quickly learned that the sunny side of the streets felt about 5° warmer than the shaded sides. A little over two months till the Berlin Half Marathon.
