Wanted to go on longer run today, so at about 10:00 AM, took the S-Bahn out to the end of the S45, got out at Schönefeld Airport, and ran a grand loop back to Steglitz up through Treptow and Neukölln, discovering a stretch of former Berlin Wall turned into a wide bike and walking path. Turning up through little streets in Treptow, I saw areas of the city I had never seen before. I finally made it to Sonnenallee and stayed on this long street through Neukölln until Mehringdamm where I cut south and immediately had the sun on my face, very nice. I noticed that at the beginning of my run the temperature was 1°C and by this point in the run it was already 6°C. At Sonnenallee, I got notice that Gisi had taken off on her 15K run down the Teltow canal to Teltow and back, so our two runs together today equaled 43K, more than a marathon, which means it was a solid training day for us. Six weeks to our Berlin Half Marathon, and seven weeks to my Zurich Marathon.
