20K Steglitz-Marienfelde-Lichtenrade Mauerweg Run with Gisi
Our Poznan Half Marathon now only two weeks away, Gisi and I needed to get in another solid 20K training run, so I planned a run straight down south to the border of Berlin, east along the Mauerweg, and then up as far as we needed to go to get a DriveNow or Car2Go.

Using Maps.me, an app I can highly recommend for finding running trails, I found an 80% no-road-no-traffic, park-to-park-path route from the Alt-Lankwitz Dorfkirche all the way down to the Mauerweg near the Gustav Heinemann school.

Once at the border, the Mauerweg was very nice running, wide paths, few people, and lots of trees and fresh air, but we eventually hit the S-Bahn and had to cut back into Lichtenrade to find a place to cross over the tracks, but used the opportunity to stop at a Shell station to get a large, cold Multivitamin drink, then it was off to the border of Berlin again, after which a 1K run north along the border got us back into Berlin.

I saw on Google Maps that a bus to Lichtenrade was arriving in two minutes, so we ran to the bus stop, hopped on the bus, and took that and the S-Bahn all the way to Attilastr. with a 1K walk home from there. The weather was wonderful, the first t-shirt-only training run of the year. In any case, we're now ready for our 8th half marathon together in two weeks.
