10K Tempelhofer Feld, Hannah's and my 30th 10K+ Monthly Run and Sixth Official Corona-Era Race (01:10:52), Plus After-Race Freibad Swim with Gisi
This was Hannah's and my 30th consecutive monthly 10K+ run since March 2018, and our 6th Corona-Era run since March 2020. With the intention of avoiding the coming heat of the day, we arrived at Tempelhofer Feld at 06:38, shortly after it opened, and took off into the empty landscape of a former airport with as few people on the entire grounds that we could count on two hands, a smattering of early morning joggers and bikers, plus three post-party teenagers sitting on a hay bail in the middle of the empty landscape.

Hannah originally wanted to try to challenge her very fast 01:01:37 time she got here in May, but it just wasn't a speed day, I noticed her talking on her phone on the last runway apparently learning English vocabulary for one of our courses at school. But she finished with a respectable 01:10:52, we exited the grounds as fast as we had entered, and within 20 minutes, I had dropped Hannah off at home and was diving into the Insulaner Freibad with Gisi for a nice duathlon: 10K run + 17 pool laps swimming, very nice.
