15K Freezing Teltower Canal Loop
I had originally decided it was too cold to run today (-10°C/14°F) but on our walk back from church this morning, I saw a number of people out running and taking walks, and the sun was shining so brightly, that when I got home, I decided to "just do it", got on my running apparel and by 13:15 I was out the door with a blast of cold air on my face. It was instantly cold, but after about 15 minutes at a good speed, I felt like a "warm running body with an ice cold crust" with extremely cold air going deep into my lungs, very refreshing. I actually saw about 20 runners and over 50 people out for walks. The sun was shining which made for some spectacular views but none of its warmth seemed to make it through the icy cold air to your face. The path was snow-packed the whole way, so actually easy to get footing, and I pushed the last 2K hard. Altogether a cold, but very enjoyable run.
