Raise the Bar

This goal of this project is to raise the intellectual and ethical bar in the United States society. The current task is to:

1. identify and expose anti-intellectual and unethical tactics that Americans use in conversation, and
2. identify and describe ways to defend oneself against these tactics.

This collection of tactics and responses is meant to serve as a basis for discussion of what constitutes a high bar of ethical and intellectual behavior regarding social interaction and conversation within a modern democratic society, and why.

All of the following examples come from real discussions with Americans on social media, e-mail, and in person.
